Dr. Michel Kish
Dr. Michel Kish has called Hanover County his home since 2002. He found his way to Virginia while serving as an Optometrist with the United States Army as a Major at Fort Lee, VA, after serving in Baumholder, Germany. He has fond memories of his time caring for soldiers and their families before going into private practice. Dr. Kish earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State and obtained his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Kish has been proudly providing quality eye care for children and adults for over twenty-four years.
In 2017, Dr. Kish had the pleasure of being featured as a runner-up in the Richmond Times-Dispatch “Best Optometrist” listing. In addition, in 2015, he was featured in Our Health Magazine as the recipient of their first place Bedside Manner award in the category of optometry for the Greater Richmond area.
Dr. Kish enjoys home improvement projects and relaxing with his wife, Tanya, and their five children outside of the office. He is looking forward to reuniting with patients, neighbors, and friends at Hanover Eye. He is excited to bring his expertise and personal touch along with the latest technology to provide patients with the quality eye care they deserve.

Dr. Hanan Mdeway
(Joining the Hanover Team | December – 2025)
Hanan Mdeway, O.D., MD (Egypt) is proud to join Hanover Family Eye Care, where she brings together her medical and optometric expertise to provide compassionate, comprehensive vision care for patients of all ages.
A graduate of Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Mdeway earned her Master’s in Medicine and Surgery, followed by a year-long internship, before completing a residency in Ophthalmology at Giza Eye Hospital and Giza Memorial Eye Institute for Ophthalmic Research. She later achieved the Egyptian Fellowship of Ophthalmology and spent nearly a decade practicing as a General Ophthalmologist and then as a Specialist, caring for patients across a wide range of eye conditions.
After relocating to the United States, Dr. Mdeway earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she completed the Advanced Placement Program and training in Primary Eye Care, Pediatric Optometry, and Veteran Affairs Eye Services. Her clinical interests include ocular disease management, glaucoma care, surgical co-management, and contact lenses.
Known for her attentive and approachable character, Dr. Mdeway is committed to offering individualized high-quality eyecare while cultivating lasting trust-based relationships in the local and surrounding communities. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Dr. Adriana Medina
Dr. Adriana Medina grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University.
Dr. Medina completed a Primary Care and Ocular Disease at Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Northeastern Arizona. During her almost seven years there, she proudly served enrolled tribal members of the Navajo Nation. Dr. Medina also developed an extensive hospital-based experience in treating and managing ocular disease manifestations of systemic conditions. She has a particular interest in Medical Optometry. As a bonus, Dr. Medina can also conduct eye exams in Spanish.
